Just scored a free huge old Mac haul... what's this video connector?

So, first post here. Hi! First a couple pics of the haul... not pictured are a couple of monitors, an iMac G3, and an iMac G4. This was all free! I love Craigslist.

However, on this iicx I have here... does anybody know what this video connector is? Never seen one like this before. Can I get an adapter to connect to VGA or a standard Mac monitor?

It's a 13w3 connector. Some displays (I want to say the portrait ones?) used it.

That's probably this card: http://lowendmac.com/1989/macintosh-ii-portrait-video-card/

Ah, okay... thanks for the info. I don't have a monitor for it. I think I'll get one of the 4/8 bit 256 KB cards from eBay.

Grats on the haul... I got some things too from the same guy with the help of a friend, glad you got everything else.

Yeah unfortunately that card is a little useless if you don't have the Portrait display 🙁

I'm glad the rest of it didn't go to the recyclers!! I was playing Tetris trying to fit as much in my car as I could. How is your half of the haul? About half of the equipment I got has problems, but I'll get it all working eventually. I was especially disappointed that the iMac G4 doesn't work, I always wanted one of those. I think it's just the hard drive though.

I'd be willing to send you a Macintosh Display Card 8•24 in trade for that Portrait card.  I don't have a Portrait Monitor, but it would be good to have the card for if/when I ever do get one.  Plus I'm curious what would happen if I plug that in to my Sun monitor that has a 13W3 connector...  (i.e. would it show "stretched" portrait resolution, rotated portrait resolution, or would the poor Sun monitor have no clue what to do with the signal.) And I have a few spare 8/24 bit Display Cards.

The pinout on Sun and Apple/Radius 13W3 video ports and cables is not the same.  Please research the pinouts before attempting to connect anything from Sun to anything from Apple/Radius.

Seems to have been a popular card for the IIcx. I have a prototype version of that card, assuming yours is an Apple made one. But no display to use it with.

Do you have some further details on the pinouts? I have such a card and a portrait monitor and was looking at a Sun 13w3 cable to connect the two - is that not going to work?

I too have that same card and the connector that goes for it. The cord has BNC connections at the end; one for red, blue and green. It did come in either my Macintosh iici or iicx, cant quite recall which.
