Mac was at least 25 years on attic. It didn't chime on startup, also no power. I recapped the power supply, Performa is now working, booting to System 7.5.3. Everything is working except, everything on screen is in blue color, so it is really hard to see some details.
I tried on two different LCD monitors, one was displaying 640 x 480 resolution, the other one 1184 x 830 (somewhere in this range). I got only this one resolution, no other are available in Monitors Control Panel, my Samsung 940T supports also lower resolutions.
Anyway, all is in blue color, from the start up. Oh yes, I have a DB15 to VGA cable, think from Apple. Is it possible, there is a bad solder joint in DB15 connector on board?
What should i check to get all the collors? | Posted by: joshc on 2024-02-25 09:37:17 Did you recap the logic board as well?
Also try contact cleaner on the DB15 port.
Also try a different DB15->VGA adapter/cable if you have one. | Posted by: DrWho113 on 2024-02-25 09:43:39 I will try with contact cleaner and another adapter and if nothing helps, racaping the board it is. | | 1 |
