| Memory in Quadra 950 |
Posted by: Elv1s on 2024-02-19 03:44:18 I have bought 2 second hand memory modules of 4mb each to put in my Quadra 950 and they arrived today, but it have a sad Mac start sound…mem fail. So I checked the manual and learned that memory needs to be installed in 4 not in 2:s (that I thought) so I found 2 more modules but of a diffrent brand but they come from another Quadra 950. So my question now is can I mix modules of same size but from diffrent brands in the same bank? (se pictures, the pic with black plastic bankground is the 2 I have) |

Sure. Not a problem. I forgott to mention that I have a PPC-card inside. Someone informed me that that can make it more demanding when it comes to memory modules. Know anything about that? |

Heh, I came across some 120ns 256k SIMMs in my ”RAM stash” the other day looking for 1MBs. |
