Just ordering caps for something else, trying to make it more worth the cost. Thanks!

Here's a Cap List for M5136, I made the attached guide when I recapped mine.

2200uF 16V
100uF 25V
330uF 16V

Mine had 4 caps on the secondary side: https://tinkerdifferent.com/threads/portable-adapter-m5136-capacitor-list.1199/
I also replaced the primary filter cap, but yeah it may not be necessary.

Can I add the image of this to the cap reference section on my website?

My question is how do you get the thing open without ruining it?

It's glued together and needs to be cracked open, can be done relatively cleanly (pics from my PB100s PSU):

Hi all,

I just wanted to revive this thread with something I’ve been working on for the Macintosh Portable CR-76E / M5136 power board.
I’ve recreated the original power PCB as a 1:1 drop-in replacement for the Sony CR-76E board, and made the design available on GitHub here:
https://github.com/daanvdl/macintosh-portable-cr76e-powerboard

That repository includes:
  • A recreated PCB you can use to replace a damaged or leaky original board.
  • The complete reverse-engineered Bill of Materials (BOM) for the board — useful if you’re planning to populate or order parts.
Hopefully this helps anyone restoring these original adapters or trying to understand the board layout better!

Cheers,
Daan
