RaSCSI help
Posted by: Guy Madison on 2024-02-06 13:26:20
So my Mac IIci drive stopped booting, I was planning on updating to a RaSCSI so I guess it was time. After getting it all installed and using the web interface to build some volumes I can't get the Mac to recognize the RaSCSI drives.. I booted to floppy using the disk tools and it doesn't recognize a drive.

Is there anything I should be doing for a Mac IIci that's special for the RaSCSI?

Thanks ahead of time

I checked through my notes from two years ago where I was trying various combinations of PiSCSI (formerly RaSCSI) with other emulators such as BlueSCSI and SCSI2SD in Mac IIci and IIsi. Problems usually came down to termination issues. Check the position of the termination jumper on your RaSCSI and whether you have other SCSI devices on your machine. Barring anything else, trial and error with termination on vs off on your devices might lead to a solution. Good luck.

Thanks, just a couple of days ago I was able to make it work.. with a ZuluSCSI, the RaSCSI worked fine on my Centris 650. I tested the same boot images with both the RaSCSI and the ZuluSCSI, so it may be termination.
