| Does the DP G4 800mhz Quicksilver use thermal pads or paste? |

As I go through this system I'd like to replace the thermal paste if it uses it. But it seems like I saw somewhere that some G4s used thermal pads? Is there a guide for removal of the CPU card and heatsink? |

Does a pad need to be used if you just replace it with thermal paste? I did that in my Pismo and it seems to be working fine 😛 |

they use these weird stick on thermal sheets cut into smaller pieces, but thermal paste can be used to replace it. i normally do this with all the machines i get. |

Yeah my Pismo had one basically adhered to the heatsink but i scraped it off and dissolved the rest with alcohol lol |
