Hi, i'm searching for a video cable for non backlit mac portable. I only find replacement/solutions for the backlit version. Any suggestion? thanks

Unfortunately I think that is the one variant Androda doesn't make. Might be worth reaching out and seeing if he would be willing to add it to his flex cable recreations. https://androda.work/product-category/macportable/

You could likely build your own cable just by crimping the connectors on, but I don't know of a source for the display side connector unfortunately.

Yeah that's the problem. I can't find the display connector on the vendor website

That's the odd part, they have the bigger version which seems to be identical in everything but size, but no sign of the smaller one even existing even going back to older catalogs.

It's possible something like HARTING 15290262501000 or 15290262502000 might fit (or be modified to fit) but I don't have any on hand to test.

Unfortunately i know.. i took the bigger version from usa (i'm in europe) and when the package arrived... surprise! I'm start to thinking of soldering wires one by one directly on the display pins. It's a shame my portable can't live anymore because of a stupid cable

Well if you can desolder the connector on the display board you could probably use a direct board IDC crimp like 3240-26-00, M50-3801342, or FFMD-13-01. The cable wouldn't be detachable from the display anymore but at least the other end would still be.
