| Mac plus question.. |
Posted by: imactheknife on 2024-01-16 17:37:57 Sorry if this is a dumb question, but there are different variations of the mac plus correct? The original and then the 1mb version?? Are the logic boards different to? or the same. I dont want to rip them apart to check.. feeling lazy lol.. i |
Posted by: dochilli on 2024-01-16 23:04:13 The first mac plus had 1MB RAM. The case had the same color like the 128k or the 512k. Later there was a case with platinum color. The main difference to the 512k was a SCSI port and a larger ROM. AFAIK there were two or three different ROM versions. |
Posted by: bibilit on 2024-01-16 23:04:54 Main difference is the color, former ones were the same as the 128 and 512 units. Late units were white or rather platinum.
Logic boards were all 1Mb with a maximum upgrade at 4Mb, Roms can be slighly different… but not much.
Not a huge evolution. |

Not a huge evolution. Ok, thanks for clarifying! |
