Posted by: Phipli on 2024-01-12 05:51:37 Back in the day, level editors existed for a number of popular games, including, but not limited to...
Marathon Series
Glider
Avara
Prince of Persia
SimCity 2000 (especially the Urban Renewal Kit)
F/A-18 Hornet
Quake
and many others.
Would anyone be interested in getting together and learning to make a level and each sharing the results for everyone else to play? I realise everyone is busy. But it might be nice. What games have I missed that had custom editors? More interested in actual level editors or asset modifications rather than scenario editors (more Marathon, less F/A-18 if that makes sense).
I'm thinking have "learn together" months, where we try a specific game, but more generally perhaps use this as a place to post whatever custom levels you've made. |

What does Warcraft let you do? The Warcraft II map editor lets you define everything on a custom map of your own making, giving you total freedom to draw the landscape... (couldn't find a Mac screenshot but the map editor is definitely compatible with classic Mac OS too).
