I found a apple 2e on ebay but it says there is sometihng wrong with the video rom. "Looks like an issue with the video rom chips because the prongs are a bit corroded." Would this be easy to fix??? and it is also missing the #4 key. Where could i get one

If it is an issue with the video ROM then it could be that just reseating the chip may fix it. Or you might have to replace it with an EPROM.

If that isn’t the problem then there’s 4 chips that could be it, they’re also not a big deal as they’re standard off the shelf parts.

It could also be the IOU which is a custom chip that would have to be salvaged from another IIe. However there are people on the various Apple II sites that have a IIe that they have parted out.

The key would come from the same source.

ok but what about the missing #4 key

Likely someone that parted out a IIe will have a 4 key cap. Key switches are even easier

Try searching eBay, people often have auctions on key caps from specific keyboards. Can be a bit expensive per key, but if you just need the one, could be worth it.
