Media 100 video capture card first PCI edition called vincent601. I assume some sort of breakout box would then connect to this externally? |
Posted by: Unknown_K on 2023-12-03 23:07:35 Breakout box, custom software, and dongles to enable features (early software uses adb dongle(s) same as nubus version I believe). |
Posted by: Phipli on 2023-12-03 23:08:56 Yeah, from an Avid setup. High end video workstation stuff like Unknown_K said. |
Posted by: Unknown_K on 2023-12-04 00:42:39 Not AVID, this was Media 100 before they got purchased later on. Their Nubus capture cards and software were top notch. |

Not AVID, this was Media 100 before they got purchased later on. Their Nubus capture cards and software were top notch. Ah sorry, I've seen them listed as from Avid systems, I assumed they were a third party card used with Avid's stuff. |
Posted by: Unknown_K on 2023-12-04 01:56:04 They could have ended up that way, but they didn't start as an AVID card. Most video editing companies were bought out at some point leaving only a few players. |
Posted by: jovianartifact on 2024-01-04 09:40:33 I picked up a lot a few summers ago that included a couple of Sawteeth, a couple UPS units, a whole bunch of Lacie D2s, and a TON of A/V equipment that includes some Vincent cards and some kind of Media100 breakout. I guess it belonged to an ad agency in my state before changing hands because when I sifted through the Lacies that still spin up, there were a whole bunch of project files for ads I remember seeing on TV for local businesses. I'll try to remember to take pictures sometime for you A/V geeks that might recognize some of these relics. |
