Posted by: slimmy182 on 2023-11-24 00:12:13Hello people!
I've got this old laptop, in really pristine condition, including case an manuals. But it does not power one. Using multimeter I can confirm i've got 23v on the power supply, but when connected no sings of life at all.
Once disasesebly...disatster. NiHi has leaked a sea of fluid inside the case, everywhere! main board seems not to be affected by leakage, but power supply board is completely gone. If I could I'll post some photos of this disaster.
I noticed also that RAM module as been taken away, so there isn't one a this time.
My question is, can this board be tested without power board (the one nearby the hard drive), and without ram module?
Can this be saved, or it's gone to the trash bin?
Thank you

RAM is soldered onboard, 8, 16, 32 MB depending on model.

You may just need a cleanup, and possibly also a recap of the power board.
