Apple IIe card schematic needed
Posted by: hellslinger on 2023-11-13 06:08:15
I know this has been asked before, but the threads ended early because the posters got the cards working without needing the schematic.

I have two LC-PDS Apple IIe cards. One works perfectly and the other gives me the "defective" or "10019" error on the same machine, a pristine LC475. I've tried all versions of the software from 1.0 to 2.2.1d

Both IIe cards have been thoroughly cleaned and recapped and the voltages are correct on the new caps without ripple or noise which tells me they're working as intended. I've even traced every pin through the PDS connector on the working card out to a pad elsewhere on the card, and then verified the same paths on the non-working card. The non-working card is in great condition with no signs of corrosion.

The last thing to do before cutting my losses is to check voltages and continuity between pads on the board itself. Without datasheets for the ASICs or a schematic, the effort is far beyond the reward for me.

The ERS for the Apple II Option Chip is at http://www.brutaldeluxe.fr/documentation/cortland.html#v8

Everything else on that card (65C02, IWM) is well known.

Some more (mostly software) tech info here: http://apple2.guidero.us/doku.php/mg_notes/iie_card/start

Maybe trace the execution of the IIe StartUp program to see where it is failing? I hate vague error messages!
