They were all separate auctions from same seller. the duo 230’s arrived fine. Well, delivery day came and went for 280c and there hadnt beem any movement on tracking since the initial ship date. So ebay said it was lost and refunded me in full. Well, two weeks later, i was expecting my new macintosh portable battery and here is the duo 280c lol..
So recapped the logic board tonight and have to order caps for display, but she is a beautiful machine.. 12 megs ram, no hard drive. Need rubber side rails and hard drive mounting bracket. $40 us dollars was the original amount plus shipping | Posted by: imactheknife on 2023-11-20 09:30:03 Well, recapped the 280c display today. Unfortunately some of organic caps were a little big and hard to get on so removed the plastic base in bottom of caps to give me more room to solder. The ones along the display I actually had to add a copper extension to give me room to solder lol.
All good in the end.. works great🙂 | Posted by: 3lectr1cPPC on 2023-11-20 12:19:55 Looks great! Duos are pretty neat systems. | Posted by: joshc on 2023-11-21 00:21:18
Duos are pretty neat systems. They are, but those keyboards... I've only tried a few but my god, its not just that's its spongy, its that half the keys don't seem to register properly and ...I dunno, just makes the whole thing unusable. Maybe the one I tried was particularly bad/worn out, but I can't believe how bad it was. | Posted by: imactheknife on 2023-11-21 04:51:56
