New PB1xx batteries
Posted by: pcamen on 2023-11-02 09:41:36
Just found this on eBay:

Claim to be newly manufactured batteries for PB 1xx models.

Anyone know anything about these or tried them?

Says out of stock now that I bought one, and there was one sold, so not high quantity. Price seems right at $60 plus $10 shipping. Hopefully this is the real deal and they make more of them.

They're legit. I believe it's a member of the community making them, forget who though. I'll probably buy one at some point.

Same seller is on Tindie.com

Sean of Action Retro on YouTube has one of the batteries - see

That would be @jcs, he’s a contributor to the BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI WiFi project, among other things.

Hello! I've built and sold 30 of them since the beginning of October. The manufacturer of the battery packs is sold out right now so I'm out of stock, but I'll have more available soon. I'm buying 10 at a time and once they're built, tested, and charged, I list them on Tindie and then once orders die down, I list what's left on eBay. So if anyone else is looking to buy one, join the waitlist on the Tindie page and it will notify you as soon as I have them in stock again.

Just tried mine out @jcs, works great! Thanks for making these. Really top notch quality and finish. I'll buy more when you have them. If you are considering making more types, batteries for PB 540 and Lombard would be my requests.

You'd have to reverse engineer the controllers in those to make that possible. Believe me, a lot of people would love to see the EMM reveng'd.

Signed up for here and finished my Tindie account based on this! I'm on the waitlist!

I’m also on the waitlist. Is the STL file available by itself so it can be a build-your-own option?

I've just purchased 10 of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231512711506?var=530840314874. That's option S) in the dropdown list.

The 'A' sized cells should be a like-for-like replacement to the originals.

One of my battery packs has interestingly been rebuilt by a previous owner, but the cells are pretty much dead.

Anyone have information on the runtime of these packs? I want another pack for my 170 and this is higher capacity (and higher quality) than my custom pack I built. Didn’t realize someone sold these pre made.
