| Apple Keyboard dimensions |
Posted by: Mk.558 on 2023-10-31 07:48:55 I tried looking around for dimensions of the early Apple Keyboards and couldn't find any information. Specifically I'm interested in the dimensions of the M0115 Apple Extended Keyboard, but I suppose the others won't hurt while we're here. I know the Extended Keyboard is the size of a standard barn door but I don't have one.
I'll go first.
Model M0116
Length: 16 7/16 inches | 41.75cm
Width: 5 1/2 inches | 13.97cm
Height: 1 11/16 inches | 42.86mm
Weight: I don't have a scale |
Posted by: volvo242gt on 2023-10-31 12:20:03 M0115, from ShopGoodwill.com:
Length: 19 1/8 inches
Width: 7 1/2 inches
Height: 2 1/4 inches |
Posted by: Mk.558 on 2023-10-31 15:40:11 Is it really 15mm taller than the M0116? That wouldn't fit under the lip of the Compacts. Maybe that's with th...but M0115s don't have adjustable risers... |
Posted by: joevt on 2023-10-31 16:09:47 I don't know if this is early enough. It is at least ADB.
AppleDesign Keyboard M2980
47.5 x 17.7 x 4.0 cm or 5.7 cm with riser. |

Confirming the below for the AEK M0115
Length: 19 1/8 inches
Width: 7 1/2 inches
Height: 2 1/4 inches |

It's a tight fit... |
Posted by: Mk.558 on 2023-11-01 02:25:21 gotcha so it's probably the AEK II which had the adjustable riser to tuck underneath the lip of a Compact. |
Posted by: volvo242gt on 2023-11-01 18:19:04 Yup, pretty much. With some thicker rubber feet on said compact Mac, though, you should be able to get a M0115 to fit under the lip/overhang. Won't take much. |
