| SE/30 recapping misadventure |
Posted by: jeauxlb on 2023-10-27 16:50:46 Just finished up my latest SE/30 recap, and very happy to now have a working screen and an operational speaker. I used the hot air method with heat-resistant tape and some box-cutter blade shield.
Sadly I seem to have left a gap in my heat shielding, and partially melted the logic board connector. It works, but it's not ideal.
I've had a look at the logic board reloaded bill of materials, but could not see a replacement part listed there. Are there any replacements for this connector available today? |
Posted by: cheesestraws on 2023-10-27 17:00:14 It's a normal Molex Mini-fit Jr. (or cheaper equivalent) connector. I can't remember a suitable part number at the moment but I think you should be ok with any mini-fit jr. connector with the right number of pins |
Posted by: jeauxlb on 2023-10-28 00:59:00 From your hints I was able to find a thread on Tinker Different that had various part numbers. The part I was after (SE/30 logic board connector) is Molex Mini-Fit Jr 39-28-1143. Thank you! |
