| 9" Monitor alignment tool? |
Posted by: reallyrandy on 2023-09-25 14:35:17 I'm trying to adjust the alignment on my SE/30 monitor and having a hard time finding the 2.5mm nylon hex key that fits in the monitor adjustment pots on the analog board. Anyone know where they are available? I see the kits on Amazon but they don't appear to a have a hex key and that's really all I need.

Posted by: aeberbach on 2023-09-25 14:39:19 They have become a little bit rare. I would 3D print one or just take a plastic shaft (big knitting needle perhaps) and shape it on a belt sander. |

It is a little pricey for a tool you aren't going to use very often. The piece labeled 13528A has two sizes of hex keys. I used this kit to adjust both my SE and SE/30. |

Posted by: CharlieFrown on 2023-09-26 01:16:15 I made one using cut wooden chopstick 😉 |

I made one using cut wooden chopstick 😉 That’s likely the cheapest, easiest, and (because of the meal it came with) most tasty solution yet offered. |
Posted by: LaPorta on 2023-09-26 06:35:04 That is the same kit I have, and I have had a good experience. |
Posted by: Crutch on 2023-09-26 07:03:14 I have used both the linked kits and chopstick (whittle it down slightly with a small knife, it takes 10 seconds) solutions, and both are excellent. |
