Hiya! I've got an IO challenged machine I'm using to do Rhapsody DR2 shenanigans with, so I was wondering if I could mount the SSD in another machine to copy files to? X86 Rhapsody's UFS doesn't seem to play nicely with...well, anything! And I haven't been able to get Rhapsody to recognize other file systems. Anybody know if rhapsody can mount filesystems other than its own? Is there any way I can have another OS mount and write to the rhapsody drive? Thanks! | Posted by: boomer3200 on 2023-09-21 17:38:15
NetBSD can definitely mount the Apple variant of UFS as offered on OSX through Tiger. Should work for Rhapsody too though I will have to check to confirm. Also covers endian swapping (ppc filesystem was big endian). You'd need to compile a custom kernel for endian independent mounting (FFS_EI) and unless on ppc for Apple_UFS too though. | | 1 |
