SE/30 and Macintosh Portable Schematics
Hope these help someone forget where I found them but know it was a while back. In any case at least they are here now if anybody wants them.

I think the Portable one is on bitsavers and the SE/30 one has been available for a long time here https://museo.freaknet.org/gallery/apple/stuff/mac/andreas.kann/schemat.html - unfortunately the SE/30 ones could be better scans, some bits are hard to read so it would be nice to eventually get the original of that one but I guess we'll just have to be patient until someone comes along with it.

Well, the SE/30 has been reverse engineered. Isn't that schematic out there?

Someone previously redid the schematics in KiCad but those were full of mistakes. Bolle redid the PCB based partly on those schematics. Completely new schematics weren't drawn up at that time as far as I know.

Thanks for this, you actually have a few Bomarc ones that are missing from the collection of Bomarc schematics that are floating around ! Most notably the Classic analog board. 👏

Do you have the ones I'm missing?

What are you missing?

If you look here: https://web.archive.org/web/20130820134155/http://www.bomarc.org/catalogsmenu.php
I don't have:
APPLE M5409/M5416 POWERBOOK 170/140

I also don't have a bomarc se/30

and it would be nice to have the power supply stuff...

Bitsavers has the Apple schematics for the PB 100 and 140/170.

Huh? Are you referring to this: https://github.com/mishimasensei/macse30mlb

Yes that is what I was referring to.

Maybe not full but there are mistakes, according to what @Bolle told me.

It looks like a labour of love though, someone has put a lot of time into it.

Do you think the author would be amenable to correct the errors if we give them a list of corrections?

Posted by: croissantking on 2023-09-23 00:49:44
Yes there are definitely mistakes in that one. (perfectly understandable, tbh).

Not sure author is still working on it so perhaps if someone else felt like fixing they could fork and work off those. I specifically recall minor issues in the audio, scsi, and pds sections.

I may be interested in doing this.

To save starting a new thread....this feels like a good place to ask if anyone has a schematic for the SE/30 analog board?

I've only managed to track down the SE version so far. I'd assume they'd be similar?.....but you know what they say about assumptions.

SE analogue board is identical to the SE/30 as far as I'm aware.

Always assume? 😉
