| Software for Xlr8 450 MHz ZIF? (Control panel, etc) |

Anyone here have a software cd or image for the Xlr8 ZIF upgrades? It doesn't have to be for a 450 Mhz specifically I think, any will work. I need the control panel software, and possibly whatever else came with it, UNLESS I dont need any software. Ive heard that I did, and I dont. I have no idea.
So, Im looking for this software!

I seem to recall the software as-is did enable the accelerator but the cache was disabled until you entered a key. I do have the software but I can't hand out the key.

Thats fine with the key. Just wondering if I needed it, and if I did, the software. Someone else (As said) said I didn't need it. Theres barley any full length review of the software and if its needed.

You need the software to correctly adjust the backside cache and see if other options like speculative addressing work. The MachSpeed XLR8 utility does this, but it needs a serial (available from places ...). However, as the CPU is just pulled from the XLR8 daughtercard you can also use the Powerlogix CPU Director - both work the same (in fact I prefer CPU Director as the XLR8 utility is a bit of a pain to source and install).

Any hint where to find the serial? I have the card, the original CD as well, but lost the original case which had the serial number with it 🙁 Now I cannot activate the program any more 🙁 |
