SetDate for Mac OS 8 and later.

My PowerBook 1400's PRAM is dead and I should replace it, but in the meantime I have to keep typing in the date, except that even with Mac OS 8.1, I can't set a date after 2019. I came across bbraun's SetDate utility (which comes with source code & CW project), but it doesn't work with Mac OS 8.1 (system freeze). It's fairly short, what would it take to make it >= Mac OS 8 compatible?

OK, a bit more reading and I found out it should work for Mac OS 8, based on this comment: "Although the author only says it works on System 6 and System 7, in fact it also works on MacOS 8.6 (and presumably 8.1) as well." Actually, I stupidly tried to run it directly; where it crashed, then rebooted, moved it to the proper control panels, rebooted, but it still crashed the Mac.

Try this instead: http://mactcp.net/macos2020.html

It allows the standard Data&Time and General Controls control panels to accept dates up to 2040.
