I have a 1999 iMac DV. It was working properly until recently. Two problems arose after I installed Shuriken, the fanmade update for 10.4. First, the shutdown dialog box does not show up on the screen (this cropped up after installing the modern/metro theme), so I switched to OS 9 to mitigate this, since most of the software I use on it is in OS 9, and it doesn't prompt you before it shuts down. Then, it would just turn back on after hitting shutdown, it would shut down properly, the LED light and CRT would shut off, then it would just turn right back on. What would cause this?
