Unknown Expansion Card for LC III mac (with images!!)

Hi! I am trying to sell this expansion card made by Cabletron Systems in '91 and I have no idea what it is for and what it does. If anybody knows, can you tell me what it is and how much it's worth? I'm currently trying to sell it for $90 because I can't find any info on the web about it. I attached some photos.

That's an ethernet card, with a socket for a FPU. The 10baseT is nice because it will plug into a semi-modern HUB.

$90 is pretty high, especially if you can't test it. You can still get new old stock ones made by other manufacturers for less than that.

Most people prefer to get Apple, Farallon or Asante Ethernet cards because the drivers are widely available and they were the common ones. $75 still sounds high to me. If you can test it and prove it connects to a network, maybe $40.

I took the parts out of my LC III’s case and turned it into a retro-looking oversized Raspberry Pi case. I could still test the network card with the LC III motherboard outside of the case, but I don’t have a hard drive, floppy disk, keyboard or mouse so I can’t even install an OS. I’ll try $75 and bump it down to 60, then 50, then 40, and so on. I’m also selling the motherboard, power supply, and floppy drive. Also, does anyone know how much a (most likely) broken Mac Pro 2,1 motherboard would sell for? This is a 68k forum so I can always ask on tinker different or MacRumors but if someone knows, that would be great 👍

The LC III was given to me for free along with an Apple ii+, Mac Pro (broken), two G5s, and a PowerBook. (All of them are free) Almost all of them were kept in very safe conditions so i have a feeling the network card does work.

I know this is a lot of questions, lol 😂

I also have a box of assorted floppy disks, books about how to use the Apple 2, and an Apple Monitor 3 that I might sell. The main floppy disks containing the OS are a bit moldy due to being stored in someone’s basement for 40 years, but the others (games, etc) are ok. Photos are attached, but they were taken on an iPad so it might look awful 😂

In terms of valuing stuff, usually ‘what you paid for it’ + something to cover your time is reasonable. Also check going market rates by looking at sold listings.

I don’t mean to offend, but nothing you’ve got there is very unusual. Old disks and manuals and spare logic boards (especially Intel stuff) are not worth much.

As for the LC III, it’s a shame you gutted it - as a complete working machine it’s worth more than untested parts.

As a suggestion - separate the moldy item(s) from the non moldy ones immediately.
Put them into a plastic bag and seal it, since you do not want mold in your own living space. I've seen discussions on how to deal with mold and such on floppies, but it usually involves intense restoration.
