Hello, I'm in search of a replacement trackball retaining ring for my PowerBook 140, the two clips on it broke and was looking for a fix. Does any 3d printable part exist perhaps so I could print out a replacement instead of buying one? | Posted by: Dogmander on 2023-05-02 07:31:51
I have the original ring, but the two clips are broken, making it not secure the trackball in place. I have the broken clips, but the plastic is so small that trying to glue it back together seems impossible.
Having a 3d printed replacement would be good as these machines succumb to brittle plastic, and a readily accessible part would be excellent for any owners of these machines with a missing or broken ring.
I’ve been working on designing a 3d printed replacement myself, but I’ve been having trouble getting the measurements just right, so someone else more skilled may be able to help. | | 1 |
