I need disk images for iCab 2.99 (the one for 68k Macs) and Stuffit 5.5 on 1.44 MB floppies. I can't figure out how to get them to my LC II, and online searching brings me almost nowhere. If anyone can help with this that'd be greatly appreciated.

That was easy
iCab 2.99 (68k), System 7.5-8.1: GOD that was difficult! iCab itself can't fit on a floppy! I had to find a good backup program to backup the iCab disquette (available from developer's site). You can download this and then do this:
1/ Write "SUM™ #2.image", "1.dsk", "2.dsk", "3.dsk" and "4.dsk" to 4 different floppies. Don't worry, I checked for viruses before linking them to you.
2/ Insert SUM™ #2 in your LCIII and run SUM Backup (optional: install SUM Backup ->just drag & drop, maybe easier 'cos you only have one floppy drive)
3/ Open SUM Backup.
4/ Click "<- Restore"
5/ Backup from: disk image 1 (i.e. insert floppy named "1")
Backup to: create a new folder on your HD
6/ Begin
7/ Insert the 2, 3, 4 when it tells you to.
8/ Done
Just tried it using mini vMac, it should work with your LCIII.

If you have a need for a browser, I presume the network is up and running. If so, I suggest using Netatalk or Services for Macintosh on Windows Server and make a file share that way. (with an older System, AppleTalk over IP might not be an option, so you need a version of Windows or Netatalk that can speak AppleTalk.

If you've got any other macs of a similar vintage then you could probably use Localtalk and a serial cable to get file sharing. Just as an aside, maybe you could BinHex the file and split into separate text files of the max length that will fit on a floppy and then recombine them on the other end via copy+paste and then unbinhex them. Of course that's assuming you have another mac or software that can manage the initial step.
