Was that best practice in the late eighties? Perhaps not 'best practice', but yeah it was fairly common. There were a lot of DIY upgrades back then as well, people chopping cases in various ways to fit cards or logicboards that otherwise wouldn't fit. |

I think it's most definitely a IIci. The IIvi lacks a floppy drive port, and also has sound input (and one less ADB for the spot where it goes). |
