Macintosh Color Classic Disk help
Hello, I was having many problems trying to get my SCSI2SD working on my original Macintosh Color Classic but I decided to follow this forum (https://www.savagetaylor.com/2018/0...lassic-68k-macintosh-using-a-scsi2sd-adapter/) exactly and I got booted into the OS but I got an error code saying "Disk initialization failed because the disk is locked" Can somebody help me? I am not sure as what to do next and when I look up the error code it doesn't bring up anything similar to mine it's just the New apple support that shows up. Please help thank you.

Unfortunately not, I was able to boot into OS 7.5.3 with the SCSI2SD but after It starts to "repair" it brings up "Disk initialization failed because the disk is locked" I will provide pictures in a little bit. I forgot to add that this is a project in my computer classroom for our Macintosh Museum. so I will provide pictures within 2-3 hours of this post right after school unless I can access internet on my phone then it will be earlier.

The problem is related to the floppy drive, so you can either attach one or do the resistor fix I linked.

To close the thread, I had the same issue, in my case the floppy drive was the culprit, I solved it by replacing the it.
