| BlueSCSI v1 Hanging on Welcome to Macintosh (SE/30) |
Posted by: smrieck511 on 2023-03-27 20:27:21 Curious what I might be doing wrong. Is this a jumper setting? Thanks for any help. |

Posted by: rjkucia on 2023-03-28 07:48:40 Which System version are you using? And have you been able to boot from this System Folder previously (Specifically on this SE/30 with the Rominator)?
The Rominator requires that you adjust the System File with Resedit for some System versions. |
Posted by: smrieck511 on 2023-03-28 08:15:10 I erased it and put 6.0.8 on it and it booted fine. Must've been the particular System Folder. Will try other system folders tonight. |

You have to alter the "Gestald ID" (https://www.bigmessowires.com/mac-se30-with-upgraded-rom/) using a resource editor most likely.
I had to do it 15+ years ago when i swapped the scsi hdd out for an ide one (using a scsi/ide bridge) and 6+ years ago when i went scsi/cf and just recently once again when going BlueScsi/SD on the SE/30.
Just follow the instructions in the linked page and it will work out just fine 🙂 |
