Molar mac questions

Have a second molar mac that is misbehaving lol.. bought as not working.. i explain it in video.. to long to type.. any help appreciated

So, logic board works fine, so either the cables are damaged as i get screen above, but no chime or power it seems to hard disk or cdrom. It tried to boot from an os 8.1 floppy but then gave a weird sound and floppy image on that dark screen.. maybe it has gremlins. I know logic board works as i tested in my other molar.

Most likely a similar situation as what was found in this thread, the gist of it being that cracked solder joints on the power supply board (mostly around the connector going to the motherboard) result in loss of -12V to the video/audio op-amps, which causes the lack of sound and the dark/distorted screen.

Your the man, thanks!! Was totally the problem.. sound, chime, and monitor works 100%
