Se/30 kicking my butt

Ok, so out of the last 4 boards i got, this one is hating life lol.. it was very clean so thats what kills me. I cleaned and recapped it. Also checked the usual traces etc. i wasnt getting a chime only siesmic screen if memory installed in bank a. If i pull memory out and put in bank b i get the sad mac chime, so sound works. I reflowed all the f258 legs, and the yellow ones (3) by memory and one in front of bank a. I put memory in bank a but same screen no chime. Now, it will give me error with no memory in bank a. So what else can i look at?

Is the memory you’re using known good? Maybe try with an entirely different set, SE/30 is very particular with RAM.

Used memory from my other se/30 no go. Going to buy some new f258 chips and see. Tested all removable chips and all test 100% good, so now to replace memory mux chips. Could be the memory slots too i guess

After trying everything, replacing the F258 chips solved the simasimac/death chimes issues I had on my first SE/30. It always chimed, though.
