| are there bleeder resistors on 1986 SE analog boards? |

would make me feel better to hear something happen. |

It's the Plus and earlier where you may hear something when you discharge. |

It's the Plus and earlier where you may hear something when you discharge. Although late Plus machines have bleeders too (mine does and is from October 1990) |

I believe that if the bleeder resistor is working correctly, it should be immediate. However, if it's not, or if it doesn't have one, the CRT can hold a charge for an indeterminate amount of time. That's why the recommendation is to always manually discharge it. |
