| Running A/UX on SE/30 with ROMinator II |

Have been wanting to run A/UX 3.0.1 on my newly upgraded SE/30 but it seems to freeze upon booting. Anyone else have any luck booting A/UX with a ROMinator installed? |

What ROM have you got in your rominator? A/UX can be very picky about what it runs on, and the ROM version matters |

I'm using the custom ROM that the ROMinator ships with. I know for System 7.5 and above you have to edit the "gusd" resource in the system folder to allow booting with the ROMinator. I wonder if there's a similar fix for A/UX? |

A/UX does some complicated ROM patching dances. There may be a fix possible, but I don't think anyone has found it yet. In general, you should expect to hit compatibility issues with the ROMinator when doing stuff off the beaten path: that's not to say it's bad, it's not, but you are trading compatibility for features. |
