| Death of a BlueSCSI |
Posted by: mloret on 2023-01-25 11:38:48 Hello folks! I need some help. I've been working with my Mac Plus and SE today trying to get the apps sorted on both. I have been using my BlueSCSI DB25. I wasn't paying cose attention and I connected the BlueSCSI to the Mac SE while it was on. ACK! Now my BlueSCSI doesn't get any power. I tried holding down the reset button and nothing. Should I look into a funeral for this poor guy? |

I'd say see if it works on another mac if you have one, I don't think the Macintosh Plus supplies termination power without modification (unless you've done the modification needed) |
Posted by: iJol on 2023-01-25 13:23:59 Yep, the Plus needs the Diode Mod to deliver termination power. Does the Mac SE has a fuse for the SCSI termination power, like the Mac II has? Maybe did just blow the fuse. Did you try powering the BlueSCSI via USB or the Molex plug? |
Posted by: mloret on 2023-01-25 18:37:50 Yeah I tried on several different Macs, no response. I also plugged in the Mini USB, nothing. Buddy told me that I blew the voltage regulator. Does that sound right to you? |
