SCSI DB25 (male) to DB25 (male)

I recently purchased a RaSCSI (the external version with a female DB25 on it) and I am having trouble finding the right cable so I can get this to work with my Macintosh Plus. Many years ago, I purchased a DB25 male to DB25 male to attach two 486 computers through the Parallel port (shown in the picture I attached). From my understanding I cannot use this as a SCSI cable since the wiring is different. When I do a search online it seems that they are all this cable that I already have. I have found two websites that have this SCSI cable; however, they are both out of stock.

SCSI Cable 1(Cable Choice A)

SCSI Cable 2

Are these cables hard to get, or I am just looking in the wrong places? Is there any way to identify a DB25 SCSI cable from a DB25 Parallell cable through pictures?

Thanks for you help, it is much appeciated!

If I remember correctly, the iomega zip100 SCSI drive has a cable that should work. Has the correct DB-25 connectors and is wired correctly for the SCSI port.

You might also try to find a CN50 F to DB25 M adapter that you can attach to a conventional CN50 to DB25 cable.

You want a cable that is wired 1:1. These can be found on amazon. A DB25 gender changer also works.

Pretty sure I just bought a generic eBay cable for mine and it’s worked fine.

Yeah, some will - the issue would be that some application specific ones might leave out wires or common grounds. Many would be fine though.

I just use a SCSI zip cable.

Related question, could I also use one as a parallel cable? Wouldn’t the worst thing that could happen would be that some wire was left out and it just wouldn’t work, or would it fry something?
