| Se/30 sound chip warm, weird sounds |

So one of my other se/30 is making weird sounds. Seems to happen when she warms up. Cap issue?? Rewashed board. I did notice i had a 10uf 16 where a 1uf 50v should have been. |

So, i changed out cap.. but still does it. I rewashed board, let dry. The 470uf axial cap is still original |

Some up close cap, asc, sony chips pics.. board worked fine for a long time before it started to exhibit this behavior |

Well, recapped audio area with new caps. Clean everything really well.. problem solved. So either bad connection or bad cap? |

Ok, so i just recapped my other se/30 in the same area as it was more quiet than the working one i do have. Removed old pads, cleaned, new caps, new solder, and she os golden.. amazing what you might have kissed the first time around |

It's common to have bad traces or just lots of cap goo in that area, has to be very clean and traces intact or repaired for the sound circuit to work. |
