System 7.1: Change Keyboard Layout?
Posted by: egrath on 2022-12-15 10:56:12 Hi, maybe a very noobish question - but how to change to keyboard layout on a US 7.1.1 to German? There isn't any option in the Keyboard settings: On 6.0.8 that was only possible when a International version was installed, but i thought that this changed in 7? Best regards, Egon
Posted by: LaPorta on 2022-12-15 11:01:54 You need the actual keyboard file installed in your System file. I’m sure someone here will have a German layout copy. Or, if you have access to German 7, it will likely be in there.

So i assume that they are hardcoded into some binary ... if anyone happens to have a suitable german keyboard layout for 7.1 i would be glad to have it too 🙂
Posted by: aladds on 2022-12-15 13:37:12 What installation options did you choose? I seem to recall that some of the more minimal selections don't include all of the layouts. They should be in the System file.

Select us or other layout and german will appear in a suitcase
