The Vulcan controller wouldn’t see them when I first tried, so I tried formatting them on something else. Then the Vulcan controller recognized both and formatted them.
So if anyone has a controller with a 40mb or larger EPROM these are two that’ll work

| Posted by: Elfen on 2016-05-29 20:00:17 You could get a better deal on Ebay and use Industrial Class CF's made by SanDisk and other manufacturers. Since this is for an Apple II, can you use a larger CF, like a 128MB or 256MB?
I'm not recommending the seller, just pointing out one such CF (Industrial Class 32MB) sold on ebay:

And this is just a simple list search on ebay for new and used Industrial Class CFs of various sizes.

| Posted by: waynestewart on 2016-06-02 10:57:45 Vulcan controllers are very limited in which hard drive or CF they will use. So none of the larger CFs will work in this situation and most brands won’t work and a lot of the sandisk also won’t work
For hard drives, I believe there’s only 11 ide hard drives known to work with the 40mb Vulcan. Though since some are the same drive with different model numbers, you could say there only half a dozen.
This was just to give a source of compatible CFs. You could likely find the same elsewhere at a better price but this gives one source of known working CFs.
