Non-Powering Gigabit G4
Posted by: mxmels on 2022-09-20 02:49:26
Hi yall! First-time poster here. I just got my hands on DP 450 gigabit G4, but it appears to not power up at all--nothing lights up, no fan spins, no chime, nothing indicating it's connected to power. The main mobo looks solid, but I haven't had a chance to check it over with the voltmeter yet. I wanted to get a second opinion. I think it's either the PSU or the power button. What do yall think?

PSU is likely the culprit here. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bad power on switch. It’s possible but not real likely.

Thanks! Sounds about right--a quick google shows the gigabit model being prone to total PSU failure like this. I'll give it a look over to see if I can fix it with a recap, otherwise, I'll just adapt an ATX supply.

Trying out an ATX PSU with it may help - see
