| Daystar Turbo 040 not working - Anyone out there willing to try and fix it? |

I have a Daystar Turbo 040 33MHz accelerator that is currently not work. When putting into any one of three IIci computers I have, I just get a black screen and nothing else. I have tried swapping out the CPU for a known working one and it has not made any difference. Visual inspection shows no broken traces that I can find. Trying to fix something like this is well beyond my skill set, so I am reaching out to see if anyone out there would be willing to take a look at it and see if it can be repaired? live in the United States, in Minnesota. |

I'd be checking that ROM in the socket next, plugged into an EEPROM programmer to see if you can dump anything usable from it. A deep clean in an Ultrasonic cleaner, or equivalent wouldn't also go astray. |

I don't have an Ultrasonic cleaner, but I am going to order a 22L unit as I have been meaning to get one anyway. Hopefully that will fix the issues with the Turbo 040. Thanks for you advise! |

I would check every capacitor and resistor on the back for a short. |

Well, I finally got around to doing more testing and it turns out the Turbo 040 had a bad ROM chip. When I replaced it with a 4.1.1 version it is now working again! |
