| Macintosh classic \ top white line problem |
Posted by: Staysweet on 2022-08-03 06:08:38 Hello expert users 🙂 I'm in the process of restoring a very old Mac recently.
I've fixed most of the issues after recap on analog board, but the white lines at the top of the screen are still showing.

I consider myself an intermediate level user, but I couldn't find any tips on the internet on this issue.
Some TV repair guys said this problem is "retrace" ,"Vertical SYNC" related, but there is no information about Mac.
Do you have Any tips on where to start diagnosing?

Just out of curiosity... could you post a photo on how it looks like when you shrink the screen to have like 2cm margin on all sides? As you see when the screen is half size, everything looks fine.
But when it reaches the edge of the screen white lines begin to appear. |
