So my classic ii recapped went well, works beautifully, but still no sound. What chip or area should I take a closer look at. Voltages are fine. Also checked with headphones and nothing. | Posted by: Phipli on 2022-08-01 16:29:58
Most of the sound stuff is in the back left. Around U4 next to the programmers buttons. | Posted by: bibilit on 2022-08-02 04:22:07
Yes, correct, sound is generated by the DFAC chip at U4, but the chip itself is not supposed to be at fault. More common issue is a trace missing or broken on the LB.
