Question on blown fuses on SE/30 boards.. are those 1A fuses “slow acting” or “fast acting” fuses?? I’d like to replace with the same type.. but I’m not sure which one is “the proper” replacement. Can anyone comment? The current one was a BUSS orange in color 1A fuse. It appears the orange in color type are “slow acting” and green seems to be “fast acting”
I’m just trying to avoid on constantly replacing it if I get it wrong..
(Found a small piece of loose drifting solder under a smd chip, I got it out)

1A slow blow fuses, if you want to go fancy you could also replace with a 1a polyfuse. these work the same as traditional fuses but what happens is when there's a short etc instead of blowing the fuse and requiring a replacement to be soldered a poly fuse will just stop conducting and in effect go open circuit. but once you turn of the machine and turn it back on again the poly fuse 'resets' itself and can continue to work for many years. food for thought really, price wise will be pretty simular | | 1 |
