Help me find (buy?) a SCSI adapter -Color Classic external
Posted by: mraroid on 2016-05-09 03:41:22
Hi...

I need to hook up a SCSI hard drive to the external SCSI connector on my Color Classic.

I need to boot to this drive and then run rez edit and edit some files on the hard drive inside my Color Classic.

I have looked at adapters and connectors on ebay and can't make any sense of them.  Can someone point me to the correct adapter/cable?

Do you have one to sell?  Let me know.

I do own an adapter that will take a modern SCSI drive and convert it to the correct pin out for the connector in the Color Classic.

I also have an external hard drive power supply.  It plugs into an electrical outlet in the wall,  The other end is a plug just like the power connector on the hard drive in my Color Classic.  It looks like this one on ebay:

Any help welcomed.

Thanks

I'am not sure to understand your requirement, but you need a DB50 TO C50 SCSI cable and a terminator plug.

I will photograph the SCSI port plug on the back of my Color Classic.  I will post it when I come home tonight.  Same for my hard drive.  Thanks for the information.
