I am trying to solve this classic I bought working, but now has horizontal lines on screen after recap, and obviously no sound. I managed to get sound chip off and clean pads, and also the chip near the 4 47uf capacitors near power supply plug. That came off almost too easy, and a leg broke off while trying to clean corrosion off it. Can I order that chip or is that apple custom?? I attached pictures. Once trace under neath that chip had its coating come off and a bit of pad is possibly missing. | Posted by: ymk on 2022-06-22 18:03:08
Looks like a voltage regulator.
