FWB HDT

Hi there!

I'm looking into one of those CF PowerMonster II's, and had a few questions about the formatting tools:

1. Does anyone here know the last version of FWB HDT that supports 68k Macs?

2. Does anyone know where one could obtain the last version that supports a 68k Mac?  eBay?

I know there are other formatters out there... just inquiring about FWB's at this time...

Many thanks!

I think Lido is your best bet.  It's currently free and will probably do just as well of a job.

I suggest Hard Disk Speedtools. Works on everything I've tried. Adtron CF, SCSI2SD, etc...

Looks like the last 68k version of HDT was 2.0.6, in case anyone else ever wonders.

Anubis Utilities, LIDO, and Hard Disk Toolkit are all pretty good.

In recent days, I've switched to Anubis Utilities.  I like it because its HDD firmware seems to play more nicely with existing Apple tools than either LIDO or HDT.  For example, I couldn't get the patched HDSC Setup to format a drive after it had been formatted using LIDO, but worked just fine when formatted using Anubis Utilities.  I haven't experimented too much with HDT.

Anubis Utilities, last version for 68k, completely trashed my SCSI -> CF drive.
