| Macintosh II - Attempting to fix a old repair |
Posted by: Zhinü on 2022-06-19 18:32:45 During my attempts to replace the battery on a Macintosh II, I came across this blown-apart mess on the board. The unit was still working (besides some video issue that I chalked up to my improper monitor), so I assumed whatever repair this was fixed that issue. However, while trying to figure it out I snapped one of the wires. I can't seem to figure out where I should resolder it to. Would anyone happen to know how to fix this?
The motherboard seems to be a first-gen Macintosh II board. |

Would soldering the loose white wire to the soldered down while wire work? Looks like it would, here's the schematic in case you want to take a look. |
