Posted by: JC8080 on 2022-06-09 19:07:13I have a Plus with an '030 accelerator, the Killy clip broke years ago and I had someone install some pin headers in place of the clip. The SIMMs are a bit too tall and this keeps the accelerator from seating fully, so it is only working intermittently. I was thinking I might be able to use some of the lower profile 1mb SIMMs with the 2 or 3 horizontal chips, rather than the taller SIMMs with 8 or 9 vertical chips like it currently has. Is there any reason a Plus wouldn't like that type of SIMM? Something like this:
4pcs PurpleRAM newly made 1MB 60ns 30-pinlow profile SIMM. Low latency of 60ns. Compatible with most systems accepting non-parity 1MB 30-pin SIMM modules. 30-pin SIMM. Price is for a 4 x 1MB kit - 4MB total .
