| PowerBook 145 Battery | |
| Posted by: loplop on 2022-05-26 13:07:32 Hello, all! I have enjoyed putting my original SE back to work so much that I have a nice PowerBook 145B incoming for a mobile setup. I would like to get a step ahead with a fresh battery, as I’m sure the original is toast. Ive done some searching here and see references to a 3-d printed battery tray that holds rechargeable AAs, as well as some references to disassembling the stock battery and soldering in nimh AAs. But I can’t find detailed threads on either. Tips welcome, and if there’s a better suggestion, I’m all ears! | |
| Posted by: pfuentes69 on 2022-06-10 05:42:36 As I'm on the cheap side, what I did was to open the case, remove the old (and spilling) cells and put a 6V AA package on it. It only keeps the charge for well less than 30 minutes (I have a BlusSCSI), but it's just for the fun of having it on battery.  (I tucked a thermo-fuse under the wrapping) | |
