Installed it last night: just have to fine-tune it as for what speed fr what temp. Had it set too low last night and the machine shut down…but this was also with the cover off so it wasn’t able to draw in air the way it should, either. Makes things WAY quieter. Planning on replacing the 5.25” HD with a SCSI2SD 5.2 soon too, so it will be a new game as far as sound level!
Ill post some photos soon of the module and routing. Instead of hacking up wires, I just used some 20 gauge wire I had and soldered it to the fan + and - terminals under the PSU so as not to disturb the original header. | Posted by: LaPorta on 2022-05-27 21:39:41 So here is the unit itself:

The routing was very easy, as was the mounting inside the case. I positioned it in front of the farthest NuBus slot, which will never get populate din my machine. I also attached the temp probe to the RasterOps card, as it seems to be the hottest single area in the machine.

Lastly, a new SCSI2SD 5.2 in place of the 5.25" drive helps cut down on the power usage, heat, and opens up more storage!
